Jerry Sims sent in the following pictures and text about his brother's "Hardtop".  Great looking car!  My dad would take me to races in Alviso, CA most Friday nights to watch cars just like this go around the track.  Thanks for sending in the pictures, Jerry...sorry it took so long to get them on my page.

This coupe of my brother Jackie Sims was built as a half-mile warrior in the early sixties and sat in a friends back yard for years. When a local salvage yard owner got it he called my brother because he knew he had been interested in it for years. Calvin is not your normal ''junkyard owner'' and my brother wound up with the car and a '46 or '47 sedan parts car for nearly nothing because Calvin knew it would get a good home.

After several months on jack stands and some vintage racing parts from Earl's Speed & Custom in Gaffney,SC including an old Franklin quick-change diff that weighed as much as one of the new dirt track chassis it was ready to roll.

Let me know if you can use the pics as the 17th is his birthday and I would like to tell him for his birthday surprise. Thanks and great site as my first car was almost a '47 Business coupe with a '53 Mercury engine.
