Just visited your great web page, and
thought to send you some pics of my own.
My '48 business coupe, is a Mercury
Monarch, and was imported from Canada. '46 - '48 coupes were not sold in
Australia. It was completely rebuilt by myself over 5 years.
It is black, with cream leather
upholstery, tinted power windows, and Dragway Mag wheels. Has independent
front suspension, with power-steering rack; fitted with 351 Cleveland, C4
automatic, 9" rear; butted front windscreen, filled cowl vent, air
conditioned; Milled Billet dash, JVC 10-stacker CD, Auto Meter gauges, bucket
seats,
I am a life charter member of Taree Street
Rodders....the club was formed over 21 years ago. We have approx 35 club
members, and have two other Ford coupes in our club:
One is a '47 business coupe,
which I originally imported from New Zealand, and re- built 28 years ago (is
now owned by another member). The
other is a '41 business coupe, new to our club, have not viewed it yet.
Looking forward to perhaps viewing my
Aussie coupe on your web page.
From another Rodder Down Under.
