THE 50th GRAND NATIONAL ROADSTER SHOW

"The Coupe" after the show

Yes, boys and girls, the "Coupe" was really at the Grand National Roadster Show!  What is that piece of hardware standing in front of the coupe, you ask!  It's not actually the "Grand Prize", but it reads "Class Winner", which really means third place.  I LOVE IT!   I never thought I would ever own a car good enough to enter the show, but to actually be recognized and awarded it just TOO much.  There's a shot of the car at the Cow Palace with me cleaning it up.  Here's a picture of me getting the "Grand Prize".

Notice the lack of carpeting.  I did actually buy a piece of "throw out" carpet for the show and decided not to use it.  In hindsight, I should have used it and I should have bought or made some stands for nice little chains or ropes.  It was my first real indoor show.  Live and learn.  Quick write that down!

My friend Dave Schaub from Los Gatos, took a first in class with his beautiful, brand new, high boy sedan.   Oh, so you want to know the 1999 America's Most Beautiful Roadster.
